For the Israelites, every 50 years was a God ordained celebration called the year of jubilee. It was the year everthing returned to the way God intended it to be. Slaves were freed, mistakes were righted, possessions restored, and liberty was proclaimed throughout the land.
What most Christians don’t realize is that this jubilee can become a reality in our lives today–but not until we release those around us from unforgiveness and other obligations we’ve imposed on their lives.
